about the mechanism
Four representatives from research organizations, social and grassroots movements, and the trade union movement met in April to discuss the impacts of the climate crisis and pathways to a just transition in Brazil. The meeting was organized by Labora - the Fund for Support of Decent Work - and included the participation of Antônio Lisboa (Central Única dos Trabalhadores), Ayala Ferreira (Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra), Renata Belzunces (Departamento Intersindical de Estatística e Estudos Socioeconômicos), and Victória Emília (Instituto Clima e Sociedade). The debate mobilized 40 organizations supported by the Labora Fund and reached 324 people via YouTube broadcast.
