Methodology for gathering the opinions of residents of the Baixada Maranhense region regarding social investment priorities. Seven priority areas have already been defined: strengthening community institutions, women entrepreneurs, productive backyard initiatives, mobilized youth, women's productive backyard initiatives, strategic planning for quilombola communities, "show my homeland," and art and culture.

The Baixada Maranhense Community Institute (ICBM) is a community foundation. The Institute's mission is to create the material conditions for realizing dreams of transformation in vulnerable communities of the Baixada Maranhense region, through fundraising, strengthening community organizations, and donations that transform scarcity into abundance.
