about the mechanism
Local climate solutions are strengthened through the institutional strategy of Promoting Productive Eco-social Landscapes, acting in 4 areas: 1) Community Leadership: strengthens the knowledge, culture, and ways of life of indigenous peoples, traditional peoples and communities, and family farmers, and disseminates their importance in nature conservation through the sustainable use of biodiversity in their territories. 2) Political Articulation: strengthens political action with civil society, its networks and collectives, and government spheres in favor of biodiversity conservation, the productive inclusion of rural communities, and the protection of their territories, as well as combating deforestation. 3) Knowledge Management: values and systematizes traditional knowledge and wisdom and supports the strengthening of community-based organizations through increased access to information, participation in workshops and exchanges, and the creation and dissemination of publications, articles, news, and reports focusing on traditional communities, indigenous peoples, family farmers, sustainability, philanthropy, gender equality, and related themes. 4) Access to Resources: strengthens community initiatives through the Ecos Fund, connecting territories, people and opportunities, while strengthening sustainable livelihoods and adaptation strategies to climate change.
